A friend recommended Capozzi Design and Build to us when we needed our ceiling above our kitchen sink replastered and painted. Our friend had recently completed a complete kitchen makeover using Capozzi and was extremely pleased with the experience and results. We were not interested in new cabinets or countertops but we were open to possibly new lighting and fan. Kevin and Anne listened to all of our thoughts made suggestions. They were great to work with throughout the project. In the end, a repaired and painted ceiling, new puck lighting, fan and new knobs for the cabinets gave us the updated look we were hoping for in this project. I also want to give a shoutout to all the workers who came into our home. They were pleasant punctual and cleaned up from their work very well. We highly recommend Capozzi Design and Build!

Expert Custom vs. Semi-Custom Cabinetry in Chagrin Falls, OH
Choosing between custom and semi-custom cabinetry is one of the most important decisions in any kitchen or bathroom remodel. At Capozzi Design Build, we walk Chagrin Falls homeowners through both paths with honest guidance, so you feel confident before a single cabinet is ordered. Semi-custom cabinetry works from a defined system of sizes and styles, with options to adjust dimensions, finishes, door profiles, and hardware. It suits rooms where the layout works within standard configurations. Custom cabinetry is built entirely to your specifications, from exact dimensions to storage details. It is the right fit when your kitchen has unusual angles, a specific design vision, or storage needs that a preset system cannot meet. Homes across Chagrin Falls, Pepper Pike, Moreland Hills, and the surrounding communities vary widely in age and layout. That range means there is rarely a one-size answer. We help you read your space clearly and match the right cabinetry path to it. Call us to start the conversation.

Custom vs. Semi-Custom Cabinetry FAQ
Common questions about custom vs. semi-custom cabinetry in Chagrin Falls, OH.
The layout of your kitchen is the clearest guide. If your room has standard wall runs and a straightforward floor plan, semi-custom cabinetry often covers the design options you need. If your Chagrin Falls home has angled walls, a unique layout, or very specific storage requirements, custom cabinetry gives you the control to address those conditions directly.
Yes, semi-custom cabinetry can deliver a refined, tailored look. Finish selections, door profiles, and hardware choices all shape the final appearance, and a well-planned semi-custom design can feel just as polished as a fully custom installation in homes across Pepper Pike and Moreland Hills.
Both options work well in kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, home offices, and mudrooms. Homeowners in Solon and Hudson often use the same cabinetry path throughout a full remodel to keep finishes consistent from room to room.
Capozzi Design Build guides you through the selection process as part of the planning phase. We review your space, your storage needs, and your design goals together so the choice between custom and semi-custom cabinetry is based on your actual home, not a general rule.
Not always. Older homes in Gates Mills and Hunting Valley sometimes have non-standard wall conditions where custom cabinetry is the practical fit, but many rooms in those homes work well within semi-custom configurations. A careful site review is the best way to determine which path makes sense.
Basic room measurements and any photos of spaces you like are a helpful starting point. If you have a sense of how you use your kitchen or bathroom day to day, that information shapes the cabinetry recommendation more than anything else.
